A winter storm that hit the area on Monday has meant a week off from school for students across the area. Weather forecasters are also calling for more snow accumulation throughout the day today.
Vincennes Community Schools superintendent Greg Parsley says school safety is the Number One priority when making school closure decisions. Parsley also understands a week of snow days can be hard—especially on parents. But he feels weather safety is the over-arching issue.
Some of the days for most schools—especially early in the week—have been E-Learning days. That means that students have kept up with the school work electronically during the days school has been out of session.
