The investigation continues into Thursday afternoon’s fire in downtown Washington. The fire was at the former Antique Bar at 100 East Main Street. Apartments were located on the top floor.
Washington Fire Chief Steve Walden says there were no injuries. As for the cause, he says that may never be known due to the damage. An investigator from the Indiana State Fire Marshal’s Office is assisting with the investigation.
One building damaged by the fire has already been torn down while another connected to it is being evaluated for safety. A damage estimate is not yet available.
