Republicans and Democrats appear to have an understanding of each other when comes to making things more affordable for you. As the session began last week, both parties laid out their priorities. Democrats want lower property taxes and more affordable healthcare. That’s something Republican House Majority leader Matt Lehman can get behind.
However education appears to be a sticking point. Democrats hope to fully fund public schools with state money while some Republicans are pushing a bill that may dissolve some struggling school districts.
