VCS Hands Out Awards to Lower Elementary Grade Teachers, Aides

Vincennes Community Schools has awarded over 42-thousand, 500 dollars in stipends to various teachers in the Corporation’s elementary schools. The stipends are for teachers in grades Kindergarten through grade three, along with various Title One aides, and special education teachers. The extra funding comes from their work leading to the state-wide I-READ testing.

Sixty-two different teachers and aides are eligible to get the stipend funding. Each teachers will gross just under 750 dollars in funds, with each aide grossing an added 373 dollars. The stipends were approved unanimously.
