The final IBCA girls basketball of the season is out and South Knox finds itself
in the top ten at number seven. The 22-2 Lady Spartans begin tournament play on Friday
night at the North Knox Sectional. Two other area teams are in the states top 20. 21-2
Washington, whose both losses have been to South Knox, land at number 14 and SIAC
Conference champion Evansville Central is 19th.
The Vincennes Lincoln Wrestling team finished 7th at the Evansville Central Sectional on
Saturday. Four Lincoln wrestlers will move on to Saturdays Castle Regional. Sophomore Cooper Collins
Was Sectional Champion at 165 pounds. Also advancing were Freshman Kolten Land at 106,
Sophomore Donta Henderson at 120, and Junior Moises Maroquin at 190.
Registration is underway for the 2025 Vincennes Cub League season. Last year, over 600 boys and girls, ages 3 to 16, played baseball
in over 450 games in a season. The registration deadline is Saturday, March 1st. It is important to register early so the league can finalize
plans for the number of coaches, teams and sponsors needed for each league. League drafts will begin Monday, March 3rd. Registration is only being done
online at vincennescubleague.com.
The Vincennes Girls 7th grade IBA team went 1-2 over the weekend. On Saturday, the Alices beat Evansville North 39-24
And lost to Castle Gold 42-40. Evansville Reitz beat Vincennes on Sunday 54-42. For the weekend, Mauriana Moore scored 40
Points. Mia Fleetwood added 16.
