Vincennes Water Utilities general manager Kirk Bouchie is glad the newest City water tower is fulfilling its role for Vincennes. The tower came online near the end of last year, and has been serving southern and eastern Vincennes residents since.
The Hart Street tower is the fifth for the City. Bouchie says the new structure, and others across the City, are vital if it ever comes to a water emergency. Bouchie also believes the new tower gets Vincennes closer—if not to—the reserves recommended by state and federal officials.
The other main benefit from the Hart Street water tank is better water pressure for residents in eastern and southern parts of Vincennes. It is also designed to assist with expected growth to the City’s east.
