Daviess County Teen Found Dead in Accident

A Daviess County teen died early Saturday morning in a one-vehicle crash on County Road 1100 East, north of County Road 800 North.
      The Daviess County Sheriff’s Office says their preliminary investigation indicates 17-year-old John “JD” Moore was northbound on 1100 East when his vehicle ran off the west side of the roadway.
      His car struck a fence line and a guardrail, continued down into a deep embankment, and flipped over onto its top becoming partially submerged in a stream.
Deputies had been looking for Moore after his parents reported him late in returning home.
      His partially submerged car was discovered by his father around 7:30 Saturday morning.
