Man Arrested in Church Bell Theft

Knox County Sheriff’s deputies arrested one person for theft of the bell from the Royal Oak Presbyterian Church. The church is located in the 89-hundred block of Royal Oak Church Road in Palmyra Township.
42 year=old Travis Heath was arrested for stealing the bell, after it was sold to a recycling company in Jasper County Illinois. A further investigation led to Heath’s arrest for both theft, and criminal mischief. Heath’s initial hearing is set for March 24th in Knox Circuit Court.
