Daviess Foundation Gives Another Education Grant

Daviess County’s “Our Community Foundation” has awarded a $250 second-semester Teaching Innovator grant to North Daviess Jr/Sr High School to support the ‘Leave Your Mark’ initiative.
      North Daviess Teaching Innovator Kami Giesler and Principal Jed Jerrels accepted the award.
     Geisler’s class will work with author J. Wolf Scott to explore the creative writing world.
      The ultimate goal is for the students to write their own stories that are worthy of publication.
      Students will be encouraged to unplug from their technology and reengage with creative things that spark their imaginations.
