The National Weather Service has determined three tornado damage spot in Pike and Gibson counties suffered EF-2 level winds on Saturday. The largest wind speeds were near Algiers, in Pike County. Wind speeds there were monitored at 120 miles an hour. The tornado that left significant damage in Oakland City ws estimated at 117 miles an hour; an earlier Gibson County tornado had winds of 115 miles an hour.
The twisters that hit Gibson and Pike Counties are considered lower level EF-2 tornadoes.
