Area Illinois State Representative Adam Niemberg is working with other House Republicans to try to kill a bill concerning home schooling in Illinois. The bill would require homeschool parents to register with the state.
What is being called a “slight” amendment to the bill’s language is coming this week. However, Niemberg expects to continue fighting the bill.
Niemberg may also have some help on the opposition, since many Democrats also oppose the bill. If it passes the Illionis House, it faces a very uncertain future in the Illinois Senate.
