Wastewater Emergency Declared in Shoals

      Shoals residents are being asked to limit water usage after the town declared a wastewater emergency.
      The request applies to customers using Shoals Municipal Utilities and urges them to minimize flushing and running water as much as possible.
      Shoals Community School Corporation is holding a synchronous e-learning day today.
      Flooding caused officials to shut down several pumps that direct wastewater to the treatment plant.
      Service will be restored once the water goes back down..
