The Knox County Commissioners have approved the use of Knox County Redevelopment Commission funding for work on Oaktown Road. The approval allows for County R-D-C funds to complete work on Oaktown Road from Myers Road to State Road 159.
E and B Paving will do the work for just under 199-thousand dollars. Knox County Highway Superintendent Matt Holden told the Commissioners the amount is about 25-thousand dollars under the engineer’s estimate. E and B is already doing the County’s C-C-M-G road paving; they say this work can be done along with the other road work they are doing this year.
