The current heat wave in Indiana may make you sweat—but that humidity will hold down the risk of wildfires in this area.
National Weather Service forecaster Alexander McGinness says earlier rains and current humidity makes that risk very low.
However, the humidity in the area is pushing the heat index into the triple digits this week. The National Weather Service’s Heat Advisory will continue through at least Friday.
