Area law enforcement officers are watching for possible illegal immigrants among the workers coming into Knox County. At this time though, Knox County Sheriff Doug Vantlin says illegals aren’t a problem in the county. Sheriff Vantlin says at this time, the one person in Jail was booked in on local charges and not necessary just on immigration-related issues.
Almost—if not all—of the migrant workers have been vetted before coming to work with various farmers across Knox County.
