Heat Advisory– or Worse– In Place Through Tuesday

      A heat advisory is now in effect until 8:00 pm Tuesday.
      Heat index values are expected to be at or above 105 degrees each afternoon with overnight temperatures remaining in the mid-70s.
      Meanwhile, in Pike and Gibson Counties, an Extreme Heat Warning remains in effect from noon Central Daylight Time today to 8:00 pm Tuesday.
      And an Extreme Heat Watch remains in effect from Tuesday evening through Wednesday evening for Pike and Gibson Counties.
      Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses.
      Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.
