All area baseball fans and others are invited to a big, free party downtown Friday to welcome teams for the 10 year-old Cal Ripken World Series. The games themselves will go from this Saturday through Saturday, August 16th.
Vincennes Mayor Joe Yochum knows it is a great event to put the City’s best foot forward. Mayor Yochum also knows it takes a lot of volunteers to pull off an event of this size.
The teams themselves will arrive in Vincennes tomorrow and Thursday. Counting the two host teams, there are 24 overall teams that will be part of the coming Cal Ripken 10 year-old World Series.
