Two area groups will use grant funding, after an announcement by the Being for Others Health and Wellness Foundation. The Martin County Alliance for Economic Growth received nearly $21,000 for enhancements to the Loogootee Senior Center’s programming and facilities. Also, Pike County Progress Partners received $25,000 for the removal of blighted properties and revitalization of the sites to fill with affordable housing for families.
The two area groups are part of a second-round of 2025 grant recipients. Overall, the Foundation gave a total of over $291,000 to 11 organizations making a meaningful impact on community health and wellness. The grants support community-driven efforts to improve health outcomes and enhance well-being at the local level.
