The United Way of Knox County is underway with day two of the annual Days of Caring. Volunteers are busy with projects for various donor agencies, and collecting food for various Knox County food pantries.
United Way of Knox County director Scott Charleston says in addition to the store collections, some schools got a head start in collecting food items. Charleston knows in the case of food collection, every little bit helps.
The various donation locations at grocery and general stores across Knox County will accept those food items through this evening.
