Old Cathedral in Vincennes One of 14 Sacred Places to Get Renovations

Vincennes’ historic Old Cathedral is one of 14 churches statewide to get funding from the Indiana Landmarks’ Sacred Places fund for various repairs. The Old Cathedral will receive 100-thousand dollars to restore masonry in the 1826 basilica and adjacent historic library.
Overall, fourteen churches were named as recipients for this round of awards. Overall, the Sacred Places Fund has given out three rounds of funding since 2023. The fund itself is backed by the Indiana-based Lilly Foundation.
