Lawrence County Memorial Hospital in Lawrenceville has raised around 800 dollars through a breast cancer T-shirt awareness campaign. The funding will benefit the Cancer Center and Wig Shoppe. That organization is involved in helping in the early detection of cancers, and for those who are already battling breast cancer. The initiative is part of L-C-M-H’s “Moms Tackle for a Cure” fund-raiser.
Hospital officials also remind women who have not scheduled a screening mammogram to do so as soon as possible. More information is available by calling Lawrence County Memorial Hospital at 618-943-7221.
