Jasper State Senator Darryl Schmitt has thrown his support behind a call for Indiana to redistrict its Congressional maps. In a written statement, Schmitt pointed to two issues—skewed maps in Democrat-controlled states, and over-counted state populations in the 2020 census.
Indiana Governor Mike Braun is considering a special session to consider a re-drawing of the state’s Congressional maps, ahead of the 2030 census. That move has been emphatically pushed by both President Trump and Vice-President J-D Vance.
