The Indiana Department of Transportation is preparing to switch seasons, as it moves from construction season to winter weather season. The move to sustained cooler weather has basically brought paving work to an end for this year.
INDOT spokesman Gary Bryan reminds everyone current rainy conditions also impact the work. Although INDOT’s focus shifts from road paving to road clearing, some large projects continue. Bryan gives the example of bridge work on U-S 41 south of Princeton.
INDOT officials also remind everyone to keep watch for construction crews on the continuing larger projects across the district. Information on those larger projects is available through the INDOT Trafficwise phone app.
