Select California peaches are being recalled for possible listeria contamination.
The FDA says the recall includes fresh white, yellow and “peppermint” peaches from Moonlight Companies that were sold at Sam’s Club, Walmart, Kroger, and Trader Joe’s nationwide.
The fruit was sold both individually and in multi-packs between September 16th and October 29th of this year.
The FDA warns contracting listeria can lead to death in young children, elderly people or those with compromised immune systems.
It adds that no illnesses from the peaches have been reported at this time.
