The Knox County Commissioners made no action on any amendments on the current solar ordinance. The A-P-C will not consider any new amendments at least until their session on Tuesday, December second.
Knox County Attorney Drew Porter reminds everyone these amendments would not affect any projects already in place. County Commissioners’ president T-J Brink says that means the changes will affect only future solar or wind energy projects.
Landholders near the current solar plant would like to see greatly expanded variances from their lands for future wind or solar energy projects.
