Three Face State, Federal Child Molesting Charges in Martin County Incident

      Three people are facing numerous charges as part of a child abuse investigation that began in May in Martin County.
      The Martin County Sheriff’s Office was tipped off that 24-year-old Patrick Cox of Washington and 18-year-old Neveah Brown of Loogootee allegedly molested a child.
      Brown and Cox ultimately confessed to several crimes.
      During a search of Cox’s cellphone several images of suspected child pornography were found along with evidence of additional crimes and victims and another suspect in a separate crime.
      As part of the investigation, Indiana State Police arrested 28-year-old Marie Austin of Sullivan
and recommended the Federal Bureau of Investigation investigate the case further.
      Both Cox and Austin have been taken to a federal prison to await trial on federal charges.
