The Knox County Salvation Army is firing up their annual Christmas kettles across the county. In the weeks to come, the kettles—and volunteer bell ringers—will draw attention to the annual Salvation Army fund-raiser.
Knox County Salvation Army commander Joey Gates says they want to raise over 60-thousand dollars through this year’s kettle drive. Gates reminds everyone the vast majority of all the money you donate in the Salvation Army kettles stays in Knox County.
Volunteer bell-ringers are urged to sign up for a time slot at registertoring.com. In addition, the Salvation Army is also doing its annual fund-raising mail appeal, along with a virtual kettle campaign online. More information on any of these endeavors is available by contacting the Knox County Salvation Army.
