The South Knox Spartans are now 9-2 on the season after knocking off Vincennes Rivet 64-19. Grace Detweiler led the Spartans with 16 points. Madison Parish added 14 points. Allie Stearns led the Patriots with ten points.
The Vincennes Lincoln High School swim teams were in action last night in double dual matches versus South Spencer and Tecumseh.
The girls’ team was first overall. Among the winners were the 400 freestyle relay team of Emma Abel, Elizabeth Cox, Savannah Harmon, and Adelynn Lange. Abel also took top spot in the 200 individual medley.
The boys defeated South Spencer but lost to Tecumseh. Lucas Doggett led with 100 freestyle, 200 freestyle, and 100 breaststroke. The 200 medley relay team were also earned a second place.
The Vincennes Lincoln Alices C-team lost their first of the year, in a 57-30 loss to Evansville North. Reed Hall and Zander Wilderman both paced LHS with 11 each.
The Clark Middle School 8th grade team moved to 8-1 with a 46-26 win over South Knox. Daveon Jennings led for LHS with 15, while Cayden Trueblood added 12.
Three Knox County boys and girls’ basketball teams are in action tonight. The North Knox Warriors are in a Blue Chip Conference game with Barr-Reeve tonight. Tip time is 7:30; that one is on 97.7 and 97.3, WAOV, and live streaming at tocsportsnetwork.com.
