A 15-2 second quarter broke open a close first quarter, and led the Memorial Tigers to a 70-47 victory over the North Knox Warriors yesterday afternoon. Kyson Parker led with 17 for the Warriors, while Will Trabant added 11 and a team leading 6 rebounds. The Warriors fall to 1-5; they travel to Eastern Greene next on December 30th.
The South Knox Spartans will be back on the floor at 11;30 this morning, as they play Danville for 7th place in the Toyota Classic at Gibson Southern High School. Last night, the Spartans lost in the consolation round of the tournament to North Posey, 53=41. You can hear that game today on 105.7, WUZR.
\Earlier in the day, the South Knox Spartans lost their opener in the Toyota Classic, 55-48 to Owensborn Catholic. Levi Loudermilk scored 20 to lead the way, with Cole Worland scoring 14, and Owen Keyes scoring 11. In other Tyolta games, North Posey will face Evansville Central for fifth, with Owesboro Catholic playing Wood Memorial for third. The Toyota Classic title game tonight will pit Princeton against homestanding Gibson Southern.
The Vincennes Lincoln C-team fell to Evansville Mater Dei 32-17. Braylon Sanders led with 10 points for the Alices in the defeat. The L-H-S C-team ends the 2025 part of their season at 4-2; they play again on January 7th.
