The Pike County Prosecutor’s Office reminds retailers and the public that the sale and possession of kratom or kratom products is illegal in Indiana.
The Pike County Sheriff’s Office recently concluded an investigation of the sale of commercial products containing kratom at a Pike County convenience store.
Although possession or sale of these commercial products is legal with regulations in some neighboring states, it’s illegal to do so in Indiana.
The kratom products that were confiscated in Pike County have been destroyed, and the prosecutor’s office says it has declined to pursue criminal action at this time.
Pike County vendors are advised to review their inventory for the presence of kratom or kratom products and to destroy or surrender them to local law enforcement.
Reminder: Buying Kratom or Kratom Products is Illegal
