The Vincennes Board of Works has revived participation in a home improvement grant for home owner-occupants. The grant is designed to improve those homes with various needs.
Vincennes Mayor Joe Yochum gives two home areas that have the greatest needs– roofing and windows. Mayor Yochum also notes those aren’t the only fixes covered in the updated grant language.
The major change is allowing homes with lead-based paint to be part of the program. That is the biggest adjustment from this year’s funding to what the grant had restricted in the past.
