The Vincennes Lincoln Alices lost at Washington last night 5-3.The Alices could not come back from a 5-0 deficit after two innings. Cooper Collins and Colton Wonning led the Alices with two hits each. Nash Ransom took the loss fdor the Alices.
The Rivet Patriots scored seven in the first two innings to win 13=0 at Red Hill last night. Brody Shots led with a double and a triple; he also batted in four runs. Miles Holka also got two doubles in the victory. The winning pitcker was Blaze Boger; he went five innings, giving up just two hits.
It was a good night for the South Knox Spartans, as they gets three in the fif and four in the seventh to defeat Loogootee 9-0.
In softball:
The South Knox Lady Spartans lost 10-0 to the Linton Lady Miners. Cala Charleston led South Knox with two hits in the game. Kenna Rehwald took the loss for South Knox.
The North Knox softball team gaive up seven early runs to Sullivan and lost to the Lady Arrows, 10-7.
In tennis:
The South Knox Lady Spartans shut out Vincennes Lincln 5-0. Spartan winners were Alli Hayden, Elaina Watjen, and Reagan Harrington. The soubles teams of Halle Carmean and Emily Dreiman, and Maggie Vieck and Jenna Bloebaum were also victorious.
The Vincennes Rivet Lady Patriots lose to Washington, 4-1. Bridget Stine was the lone winner for Rivet; she won in straight sets at number 2 singles.
In junior high sports:
The North Knox Junior High track teams were both victorious, with both boys and girls defeating Washington Catholic and Shoals in a three-team meet. Carleton Armes, Reed Slaven, and Tayveon Smith were all multiple winners for the Warriors on the evening.
The Clark Middle School track teams split against Robinson yesterday.
The girls team defeated Robinson 54-51. First place finishers included Mauriana Moore in three events, and single event wins for Gabriela Moore, Sawyer Keusch, and Mia Fleetwood.
The C-M-S boys lost to Robinson, 61-44 Bryson Roberts won in three events, with two e4vent wins for Schlomer, and one win for Landon Carter.
