The Knox County Council is working toward helping fund the new Knox County Veterans’ Court. The process is under the umbrella of Knox Circuit Court, and Circuit Court Judge Monica Gilmore.
Council president Mike Morris says the assistance is still in the process. Morris also believes the Knox County Veterans’ Service Office will need to be a major player in the Veterans’ Court setup.
The Veterans’ Court is being held in a trial basis through the summer. The court will be up for a multi-year state accreditation this fall.
