The office for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program will move from Washington, DC to Indianapolis.
Officials with the U.S. Department of Agriculture confirmed the move yesterday as they replace the USDA’s Food, Nutrition and Consumer Services division and establish the Food and Nutrition Administration.
Governor Mike Braun called the move a big win for Indiana and says his administration has “worked hard with USDA to show what a great place Indiana is to live and do business.”
Around 26-hundred employees from Washington, DC will be transferred to Indianapolis, Dallas, Kansas City, Denver, and Raleigh.
