Traffic restrictions are in place on U-S 41 from Vincennes southward– and Knox County Sheriff’s deputies are ensuring that drivers obey the speed limit. Speeds are lower in the construction zone, and Knox County Sheriff Doug Vantlin says his road deputies are working extra to ensure safety. Vantlin warns drivers that excessive speed in that construction zone can lead to a citation.
Regardless of the presence of law enforcement on that stretch of road, drivers are reminded to reduce speeds In any construction zone for worker safety.
