United Way of Knox County officials are dedicating 50-thousand dollars to help keep Knox County’s food pantries stocked. The grant allowing that to happen was provided by the Indiana Assocation of United Ways.
U-W-K-C director Scott Charleston says each pantry will get a significant amount—depending on their needs and budget, Charleston hints that this grant may not be the last for those food donation groups.
The funding is above and beyond the normal allocation given out every three months to United Way of Knox County beneficiaries.
