Indiana’s infant mortality rate held steady at a historic low for 2025. Provisional data from the state health department shows a rate of six-point-three deaths per one-thousand live births, matching the record low set the previous year.
State Health Commissioner Doctor Lindsay Weaver says while officials are encouraged that nine more babies’ lives were saved, they remain committed to driving those numbers even lower.
