Vincennes Mayor Joe Yochum has now been back in the city for just over a week, since his trip to both France and Germany. As part of the German leg, he and KCIED director Chris Pfaff held various meetings with German business interests.
Mayor Yochum feels Germany is becoming for business what Japan has been in the past. Yochum and Pfaff also visited the Schott plant in Germany. Yochum was amazed at Schott’s complete range of glass services—some of it being space-age technology.
Part of the French leg of the journey was a dedication of a park to Vincennes Indiana, from Vincennes, France. Mayor Yochum was on hand to accept the dedication firsthand on behalf of Vincennes, Indiana.
