The Fourth of July fireworks display in Vincennes that was scheduled for last night was postponed “Due to the unexpected passing of Bob Johnson” according to the post by the Vincennes Police on social media. “Bob was the dedicated individual who faithfully organized and conducted out community’s annual fireworks display for many years. His commitment, hard work, and passion helped create a tradition that countless families have enjoyed throughout the years.” The cause of Johnson’s death has not been officially released. The police added “We extend our heartfelt condolences to Bob’s family, friends, and loved ones during this incredibly difficult time. We appreciate the community’s understanding as we take this time to honor his memory and the lasting impact he made on our city.” The agency also said that a new date for the fireworks display will be announced as soon as it has been determined.
