Area roads are being improved in municipal and county locations at this time, thanks to the state’s Community Crossings Matching Grants. The C-C-M-G funds have been a major contributor to those upgrades since the program was put in place.
Bedford State Representative Chris Neigh knows the money is a vital resource to counties and municipal areas statewide.
State Representative Lindsey Powell is on the House Roads and Transportatoin Committee. She feels the partnership has been good for both the funded areas, and for the state itself.
The funding is provided a couple of times each year through the Indiana Department of Transportation. Local recipients put up a matching percentage as their share of the overall project.
