Vincennes Community Schools will publish a nearly 47 and a half million dollar budget estimate for the 2027 school year. The final number is up around four and a half million dollars for the final numbers for 2026.
The biggest increase is an estimated 1.1 million dollar increase in the Education account. It also includes nearly two million dollar rise in debt service, and a 1.3 million dollar rise in operations funding.
The estimated property tax rate per hundred dollars in assessed value is near a dollar-51 cents. That is expected to be adjusted downward when state officials fix the final numbers. The current assessed value is over a dollar-four per hundred.
V-C-S-C Board members will consider the budget this fall.
