Former IURC Chair and Member Andy Zay Suing for His Place Back

Fired Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission regulator Andy Zay is suing Governor Mike Braun over his dismissal.

Zay is seeking to get his seat back on the powerful IURC before the commission votes on if they should reconsider the 71-million-dollar rate hike approved for AES Indiana.

He was fired by Braun after backing the increase.

Zay says the governor’s office has infringed on the IURC’s statutory duty as an impartial fact-finding body.
