Vincennes’ Family Health Center has become a Federally Qualified Health Center facility. The designation means the Center will receive federal grant funding to expand care options, increase financial stability, and serve more patients—regardless of their ability to pay.
The previous eight year, the Center has operated as a “look-alike” location. That means they followed the F-Q-H-C standard without receiving federal funds. Center officials believe the grants will allow them to expand their services to more people in need. At this time, the next F-H-C move is to expand its service into Martin County.
