The Knox County Commissioners have approved a health insurance renewal with Anthem, at a ten percent decrease over last year. The decrease is due to a change in “stop loss” policy from Paraydo to Voya.
Paraydo was seeking a 23 and a half percent increase, while Voya quoted a ten percent decrease, with an overall 13 and a half percent rate drop. The Overall, insurance consultants credit the decrease to proper marketing of the policy to all interested companies. The actual savings will total around two-thousand dollars from last year.
The Commissioners approved the new insurance combination unanimously.
