In Volleyball:
The South Knox Lady Spartans lost in two games at Lawrenceville. The Lady Indians took the win 25-22 and 25-18. Braelyn Gladish led with 21 digs, while Brooklyn Flanigam added 14, with Maddie Short adding 11. Flaingam also added five service points and 8 assists.
The Vincennes Lincoln Alices move to 18-3 on the volleyball season with a win over West Vigo. The Lady Spartans claim the match 25-10, 25-7, and 25-8.
In Soccer:
The South Knox Spartmans defeated Sullivan 5-0. Two goals each from Kain Ellerman and Levi Loudermiilk led with way, while Collin Ellerman added the final tally. The Spartans move to 7-2-2 on the year.
The South Knox Lady Spartans lost 2-1 to Sullivan. The Lady Arrows scored two in the first half before Kalissa Lavely got one back in the second half. The The Lady Spartans drop to 6-3-1, while Sullivan remains undefeated at 7-0-3.
In Cross Country:
The North Knox Warriors’ Carlisle Armes finished 46th in a six-team invitational yesterday at Sullivan. Northview won the meet, with Vincennes Lincoln second. The Alices were followed by Owen Valley, Shakamak, and Sullivan. North Knox did not have enough runners for a team score. Owen Valley’s Liam Hogan won the meet.
In the girls’ meet, Linton won the day, with Owen Valley second. They were followed by Washington, Vincennes Lincoln, North Knox, and Northview. The Lady Warriors’ Emma Telligman was sixth in the meet; the overall event was won by Loren Horn.
In middle school sports:
The Clark Middle School 6th grade volleyball teams won at South Knox. The 6-A team won 25-12 and 25-19, while the 6-B squad took their match 25-22 and 25-12.
