One person was injured in a house fire reported last night at 1226 North 11th Street in Vincennes.
According to Vincennes Fire Chief Brett Bobe, firemen found the blaze in the front of the building. The injured person was removed from the structure, and taken to Good Samaritan Hospital; that victim’s name remains unknown. Reports say the injured person was then airlifted from the hospital. Firemen report that neighbors told them there was an explosion as part of the fire.
The Indiana State Fire Marshal’s office investigated the damaged structure this morning. No other information has been released at this time.
