17 Year-old Washington Boy to be Tried as Adult for Attempted Murder

A Washington 17-year-old will be tried as an adult on Attempted Murder charges.

Police say Ayden Lofton was detained after a shooting September 10th in the 14-hundred block of East National Highway.

Daviess County Prosecutor Abby Brown has formally charged Lofton with Attempted Murder, Attempted Battery with a Deadly Weapon, two counts of Criminal Recklessness with a Deadly Weapon, and Dangerous Possession of a Firearm.

Lofton appeared in Daviess Superior Court Monday, where a jury trial was set for February 23rd.
