The annual Vincennes Lincoln Homecoming Parade will begin at 3:45 this afternoon in downtown Vincennes. The parade features various classes, Vincennes Community Schools sports teams, other groups, and class floats.
The parade will take the typical Homecoming parade route, ending on Second Street in downtown Vincennes. The route will be posted early this afternoon, meaning vehicles on the posted route could be moved at the owner’s expense.
Following the parade will be the annual Distinguished Alumni reception at the Riverfront Pavilion. This year’s honored alumni will be retired longtime Vincennes teacher and former State Representative Kreg Battles, and retired U-s Army Colonel Christian Karsner.
Homecoming activities begin at six-30, with kickoff between Vincennes Lincoln and Edgewood starting at seven. After the game, various LHS classes will have their class reunions in the Riverfront Pavilion.
