Indiana Children and Family Services officials will use up to three million dollars in grant money to help with area substance abuse. The grant starts with 750-thousand dollars in the first year for clients in Knox, Daviess, and Sullivan Counties.
The four-year program allows the Grasshopper Group to place a center in Sullivan County. The new office will open in Sullivan next year; adding to its locations in both Vincennes and Washington. The expanded location will assist an estimated 100 patients in Sullivan County, and add four dedicated health professionals starting this fall.
The Grasshopper Group works in part with outpatient clients, as well as those leaving jail who are involved in the LAM—or Life After Meth—program.
