Richland County Elementary School has been named one of 24 schools across Illinois to receive the 2026 Governor’s Blue Ribbon Schools honor, recognizing its progress in closing student achievement gaps.
Illinois Governor JB Pritzker and the Illinois State Board of Education announced the 24 honorees, recognizing schools for their commitment to student success and educational improvement.
Now in its second year, the Governor’s Blue Ribbon Schools program honors schools that demonstrate educational excellence through high academic achievement or significant progress in closing the gap.
